Our Fire Rated Plywood Faced Door Blanks are strong, high-performance panels designed for the manufacture of fire-resisting doorsets, with a durable plywood facing suitable for internal and appropriate external applications when correctly specified, sealed and finished. Available in 44mm and 55mm thicknesses, these full-size 2440 x 1220mm door blanks offer excellent strength, rigidity and dimensional stability. The plywood faces provide a robust surface that can be painted, veneered, laminated or coated with a suitable exterior-grade finishing system. For external applications, all faces, edges, cut-outs and machined areas must be properly sealed and protected from moisture using a suitable exterior finishing system. Suitability for a particular external location should always be checked against the manufacturer's technical and fire-certification requirements.
